Flint
Township's Economic Edge
Business
is Booming!
Take a drive along the Miller/Linden/Corunna Road
corridor and you'll see why this area is one of
the premier commercial districts in the state.
It is in a constant state of change with new businesses
and buildings being developed. With Flint Township's
favorable tax rates, road improvements, funding
assistance and the availability of venture capital,
new and established business thrives in such a
climate.
Key to this process is the Central Business Development
Authority, a coalition which serves as advocate,
problem-solver and financial consultant. In short,
the commission strives to be a business owner's
best friend.
And
we're growing:
The
township's economy is expanding with more stores,
more office buildings, more restaurants and hotels.
The pace is increasing. The township is attractive
to business because of its available land and
facilities, its favorable business climate, and
its highly-trained workforce.
To residents, the township is attractive because
of its quality of life. Where else can you find
a country estate and a Christmas tree farm just
down the road from an industrial park and research
center? Where else can you find a central business
district without traffic snarls? An ultra-modern
airport without 60-minute cab rides?
Our own township government's future sees the
creation of parks and recreation areas, and a
new police station and township hall.
While we have made a fervent commitment to growth
and commercial expansion, we have also made an
equal commitment to managing that growth, to ensure
that Flint Township will remain essentially the
same in spirit and intent.
