S. Wright has held the position of Flint Township
Treasurer since 1992. She is a graduate of Michigan
Municipal Treasurers Institute Advanced Studies
Program at Central Michigan University. She
is a certified municipal finance administrator,
Municipal Treasurers of U.S. and Canada; a member
of the Michigan Treasurers Association; Government
Finance Officers Association; and the Flint
Township Liquor Advisory Board. She is plan
administrator for Retirement System, and past
chair of the Flint Township Fire Retirement
Board. She served as Director of the Flint Township
Sewer/Water Department for ten years and Investment
Officer for all residual funds of Flint Township.
She was previously vice chair of Club 225, and
has served for 17 years in the area of private
sector accounting/finance.

Smith was appointed by the Township Board on
4/10/2007 to fill the position vacated by John
MacGillivray's resignation due to health issues.
Mr.
Smith is a graduate of Bendle High School and
Wayne State University. A township resident
for over 23 years, he owns and operates the
Plumb-Smith Funeral Home at G-1208 North Ballenger
Hwy. in the Township. During nearly 20 years
of service to Flint Township he has served as
a Planning Commission Member (serving several
terms as Chairman), Board of Review Chairman,
Board of Appeals Member, 2 terms as Constable,
and as Dangerous Buildings Hearing Officer.
He was appointed by Former Michigan Governor
James Blanchard to two terms on the State Board
Of Examiners in Mortuary Science.
