Sports:
Youth sports are an important part of the community,
with Little League, youth football, American
Youth Soccer Association which has its regional
headquarters in Flint Township and boasts more
than 1,700 members in Genesee County and the
Flint
Junior Generals Hockey Club.
In Flint, the Crim International Road Race draws
runners from throughout the world. Golfers have
no problem finding excellent courses throughout
the area.
On the collegiate circuit:
Flint Township is also close to major peripheral
sports action. It is within an hour drive of
the University of Michigan Wolverines, Ann Arbor;
Michigan State University Spartans, East Lansing.
On the pro circuit:
Even closer are the Palace of Auburn Hills and
the Detroit Pistons.
Complete the sports circuit with trips to Detroit
to see the Detroit Tigers in their new Comerica
Park, the Detroit Lions in their new Ford Field
stadium, the Detroit Grand Prix, and Red Wings
Hockey.
And right in Flint Township's backyard is Grand

Open Golf Tourney and Flint
Generals Hockey at the IMA in Flint.
