What
does the WFBA do?
Mission
Statement:
It
is the intent of the association to keep members
informed, pursue common goals and provide unity
within the community.
The
West Flint Business Association is made up of
almost 250 members of the business, professional
and civic community, primarily in the Flint
Township area.
The
association functions as a forum, where you
can hear first-hand from the people who affect
Flint Township.
The
luncheon meetings begin with a buffet luncheon
at 12 noon on the third Wednesday of each month
at the Old Country Buffet on Miller Road.
The
business meeting is from 12:45 p.m. to 1:00
p.m., followed by featured speakers of local
interest from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
What
else does the WFBA do?
SCHOLARSHIPS
- The West Flint Business Association sponsors
two Scholarships each year for area students.
The Community Scholarship is designed
for individuals in the work force and who are
trying to improve themselves by furthering their
education.
The Academic
Scholarship is designed to assist a high
school senior in achieving his/her goal of a
college education.
BEAUTIFICATION
- In addiion , business owners who show their
faith in the future of the west Flint area by
upgrading and remodeling the exterior of existing
buildings are recognized through the Beautification
Award program.
THE
WEST SIDE STORY - The West Side Story
is published quarterly, featuring items of association
interest and distributed exclusively to members
only, along with a current membership roster,
used by members for prospecting and networking.

Annual membership dues are $25.00
(Membership dues in the WFBA may be tax deductible
as an ordinary and necessary business expense.
Dues paid to the WFBA are not a charitable tax
deduction for federal income tax purposes. The
WFBA is not a charity, but serves as an advocat
organization for area business.)
